Eclipse is the third book in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. It continues the story of 18-year-old Bella Swan and her vampire love, Edward Cullen. Eclipse is preceded by New Moon and followed by Breaking Dawn. The book was released on August 7, 2007 with an initial print run of 1 million copies, and sold more than 150,000 copies in the first 24 hours alone.

Synopsis:

Bella Swan and Edward Cullen have been united again, but their already forbidden relationship is again tormented to be torn apart with an evil vampire seeking her revenge. As the string of mysterious murders grips around Seattle, Bellam, whose high school graduation fast approaching, is forced to choose between her true love for vampire Edward or her friendship with werewolf Jacob Black as the conflict between vampires and werewolves forge ahead. But there is still another choice for Bella to make, mortality or immortality?
